Do you want to make a difference every day? Are you attracted to developing women’s healthcare? We are now looking for an ultrasound midwife to the Obstetrics Ultrasound Clinic at Sahlgrenska University Hospital Östra!

The planned activities in Obstetrics offer specialist care during pregnancy and up to twelve weeks after childbirth.

At the Ultrasound Clinic, fetal diagnostics are performed, and the unit is the regional center for diagnosing diseases and malformations in fetuses. Within the planned activities, there is also a Specialist Maternal Care Clinic and a Clinic for Pregnant and Newly Delivered Women that we collaborate with.

We work in teams with midwives, section leaders, nursing assistants, doctors, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. The unit performs approximately 19,000 early ultrasounds, routine ultrasounds, and NIPT examinations per year, along with 3,000 specialist ultrasounds. We have a mixed operation that includes regional and national specialized care.

We conduct extensive research and have an active educational program that also includes course arrangements.

As a midwife at the ultrasound clinic, you will work independently with early ultrasounds, routine ultrasound examinations, growth checks, and NIPT examinations.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife and a certified ultrasound midwife. Experience working with ultrasound is an advantage for the position.

We seek someone who is meticulous and can independently plan and structure their workday. You put the patient first and see good service as a given. You collaborate with your colleagues for good and safe care, and we hope you are interested in helping to develop our operations. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability when filling the position.
